    Default tty1 crashed

    Hi,

when logging out a user it appears that tty1 has crashed. I can still see the prompt, but it's definitely frozen.- All the other ttys are still up and running. Is there a way to restart tty1 without having to reboot the system?

    Cheers,
    ajoram

    When doing:
    Code:
    ps -ef | grep tty1
you will find the process associated with the tty. Try to kill it. A new instance of he mingetty process will be started by init automagicaly.
