tty1 crashed

Hi,

when logging out a user it appears that tty1 has crashed. I can still see the prompt, but it’s definitely frozen.- All the other ttys are still up and running. Is there a way to restart tty1 without having to reboot the system?

Open Suse 11.1, Kernel 2.6.27

When doing:

ps -ef | grep tty1

you will find the process associated with the *tty. *Try to *kill *it. A new instance of he *mingetty *process will be started by *init *automagicaly.
