I am trying to connect PDA via Synce to Linux and simply cannot get through.
I tried with odccm and now going through OpenSuse installation and installed as suggested synce packages:

Code:
 zypper install synce-hal rra-tools libopensync-plugin-legacy
 zypper install rapi2-tools
 zypper install kde4-kcemirror
 zypper install kde4-kio_rapip
 zypper install synce-kde
I have the plugins:
Code:
# msynctool --listplugins
Available plugins:
file-sync
synce-opensync-plugin
and I cannot connect. When I run synce-kmp it does not detect device at all.
It cries about odccm
Code:
~> Running dataserver
running the GUI Part
Initializing DataServer
odccm is NOT running!!
I cannot install odccm for it conflicts with synce-hal

When I cradle the device and try to see log with pls
Code:
~> pls
** Message: Hal reports no devices connected
** Message: Odccm is not running, ignoring
pls: Could not find configuration at path '(Default)'
Seems nothing works.... but on the other hand it does connect:

Now I am completely lost.
I mainly want to copy files across and be able to access the external network.
I saw on forums some guys had success, I still have not found the solution.

Thanks for any suggestion.
I am running KDE 4.3.0
OpenSuse 11.0 with kernel 2.6.25.20-0.1-default
