Default OPera 10 Beta 2 and Java

How do I get Java 64-bit to work on Opera 64-bit? I'm trying out Opera to see if there is a valid reason to migrate from Firefox to Opera but if I cannot get Java to work, then I will not use Opera.

    Thanks for your help

    Cheers!

    /usr/lib64/jvm/jre/lib/amd64

I tried that location, but it does not work I'm using an Intel Dual Core Processor. I've tried different locations and it still doesn't work

do your other plugins work? I found with the 10
beta's that the plugins locations didn't display
    in preferences-> advanced-> content-> plugin
options until I closed and restarted Opera and
then they'ed show and plugins (inc java) all
    worked

what java rpm's are installed I have:
    java_1.70_icedtea
    java_1.70_icedtea-plugin

I closed and opened Opera and my plug-ins are showing up but Java is not working. My Java version is Sun-java 1.60 I need this version for the Canada Revenue Agency website it will not accept iced-tea Java.

    Cheers!

When I click on Help->About Opera It goes from Java Runtime environment installed to not installed. I'm not sure what is happening. I tried un-installing Opera, and re-installing, and that didn't help either.

    Cheers!

YaST shows that I have installed x86_64 installed so that is not the problem, and my Sun-Java is x86_64 as well.

    Cheers!

Opera 64bit and Java is not a happy marriage. Though FF does not run Sun's test applet as well. I have not experienced severe problems on Java-using sites, not in Opera nor in FF. If you take a look in Opera's fora you'll see that this matter is a long going issue.
What works for me, is the combo Opera 10 beta2, downloaded and installed 'by hand', and Sun's jre, installed through Yast.
