Exclamation Kgrubeditor - Invalid File Format

I am using Opensuse 11.1 with KDE 4.1.3
    Dual boot with vista.

I installed Kgrubeditor but when i restarted my computer it gives

    Location/filename Invalid File Format

I tried jpg xpm and png too but nothing worked

    i even tried this :

    convert name_of_your_picture.jpg -resize 800x600 -colors 16 -depth 16 -normalize -verbose background.xpm
    convert background.xpm back.jpg
    from following link:

Howto modify grub splash - openSUSE Forums

Just for the info, i didn't tried the above guide, i used Kgrubeditor and after that i tried above guide with no seccuess as it still shows the same location which i set up in kgrubeditor

I am able to boot, but it doesnt look good as there isn't any image it shows a black background..

I do not have the backup file, as i didn't know what to copy at that moment, i didn't even write the default value which was there..

Need your help to make it look good again.

    Thanks in advance.
