    Question distribution collaboration

I'm excited by all the activity in Linux Mint, Fedora, Opensuse, and The Chakra Project. Unfortunately, fedora, Chak... and others don't have long term releases.

While liking all the cool things going into these projects. I'm looking for a distribution that borrows ideas from other distros. For example; Linux Mint forums attest to their menu being added to OpenSuse.
Are more of these "newer" technologies being added continuously to OpenSuse?

All the while I've also read a comment at OSNews is Exploring the Future of Computing stating that OpenSuse has more registered users than Ubuntu.

To sum it all up, my mouth is starting to water for some OpenSuse.

Every Linux distro can potentially share software with another, though not
all will. Some specialized distributions have no need for newer versions
of softwareX or neatoFeatureY, but sticking with the general software
software is shared a lot in all directions. Linux, to be specific, is
just a kernel and everything built on top of it may come from anywhere,
such as the GNU/FSF folks, various projects like Gnome/KDE, etc. Sharing
is a huge part of the open source ideology.

    Good luck.
