When I hit ctrl esc to get the list of processes up I have a couple that have zombie in the CPU column. Does this indicate a problem or is it normal behaviour?
You mean ‘defunct’ processes? Like when you kill Yast and a y2base process stays defunct? Rebooting solves it. I would not worry about it, unless a program leaves a defunct process for each time it’s been run. That would be a bug to be reported.
