Monitor calibration - Spyder or Pantone Huey?

Hi,

I want to buy a monitor calibration device - either Pantone Huey or Spyder 2/3 and use it on openSuSe.
Does it work on openSuSe? Is there a way to install a software? I’ve read about some software that supports huey but it’s new and it only comes in tar format…

Any ideas?

The only thing I know is that Argyll CMS supports the Spyder. Haven’t tested either of them (yet).

Do you know about any other way of calibrating monitor under Linux? I want to do it to manipulate images.

Have you tried installing lprof the icc profiler ? It offers some tools for calibrating a monitor. It requires a high level of tech savvy.
