    Default PECL fails to install

    Hello,

I'm finding that PEAR installs just fine but PECL doesn't. Below is the the result of one such attempt. I've try about 3 modules now and they all fail. I've never used PECL installer before so any help from someone who knows much appreciated.

I did not have that problem while doing my last PECL setup on opensuse. Anyway, I've created that howto which maybe is of use to you:

    HOWTO: PECL on Opensuse

On the server of that HOWTO I have the following GeoIP packages installed:

    1. GeoIP
    2. libGeoIP-devel
    3. libGeoIP1

Looks like libGeoIP-devel automatically requires both 1 and 3 of the list.

I hope this information is of use. Please let me know.
