I know that this is popular question but solutions I found didn’t worked for me :\

This is how Google Earth looks after installation from bin file:

On older GE releases (4.x) there used to be a trick for setting the desired
fonts (font face and font size) of the GUI by
editing “GoogleEarthPlus.conf” file.

Have you already tested with that?

you could do

  • search the font Google Earth is using wrongly and delete it (if you can spare it)
  • copy an other font of your likeness and rename the copy with the wrong font name from above

Mmm… and what about launching the interface in English, just to check if
the problems remains? :-?

Also, run “qtconfig” to check the fonts for QT applications.

No, the only soultion that did work for me is lunching GE like this:

googleearth -fn microsoft-verdana-medium-r-normal--12-120-75-75-p-o-iso8859-2 "$@"

Now fonts are small but I don’t have Polish characters so I have changed GE language to English :slight_smile:
