Thread: KNetworkManager keeps dropping cable lan connection

  1. #1

Exclamation KNetworkManager keeps dropping cable lan connection

Running Suse 10.3 kde on thinkpad x40 connecting to Trendnet router (wifi and wired) with cable

Can't seem to find any way to configure the connection. It works fine in wireless, but not on the wired connection. Half the time KNetworkManager can't even find a wired connection (it finds tons of wireless connections)

    Ideas?

I'd even be willing to switch to another software if you suggest a better one.

Usually the problem is the other way around. I'm using the same networkmanager to manage my wireless. But I never setup wired, you just plug in the cable and away you go.

I am 11.1 and I have kde3 and kde4, both use the same manager as you are using though.

    I'm puzzled.
It seems to be doing better now after restarting my computer. No configuration changes or anything. We'll see.
    Thanks for the input.
