Really - the price doesn't matter here. My people and me need the Best of the Best.

    Hit me with recomendations!
Does price really not matter? I do NOT believe you. Are you willing to spend 10s of thousands of dollars? If so, read here:
Movie Making Manual/Tools and Equipment/Linux in film production - Wikibooks, collection of open-content textbooks

But I suspect price does matter. In which case, look here: Video editing - openSUSE

That page is in bad need of good contributions. I tried to clean it up a bit, expanding its input, but more input is needed.

I use kdenlive. http://kdenlive.org/ It works for me. I find it more stable than any other openSource Linux NLE, but that is also possible because I am more familiar with kdenlive, and I know what can crash it quickly, and what does not.

    I agree with microchip8 here.

Some kdenive examples: These are all pretty low quality examples. I've made some much higher quality videos with kdenlive.

Some web tutorials here: Tutorials | Kdenlive

Thanks for the hints. I'm still not clear which to use. Which one is the most fully equipped/recommended and which ones do YOU use?
I'm kind of clueless here as there are so many around. I want to have the most complete package, understand me there?

kdenlive will do most of the things with PiTiVi being very promising for the future as it's still in early stage atm. Also, just a thought, but if you really want/can, why not donate to one of them some $$$ and ask them if they could implement features which you would like to see, as in similar features to what some of the proprietary ones can do and offer

To uninstall just use YaST or sudo rpm -e <name_of_rpm_> to uninstall.
    Great thank you very much.

since hollywood has gone to Linux big time, you should be able to find
something in the over $1,000 range (well over)...have a look here on
the right half of the page:

    http://www.linuxmovies.org/software.html

just as a matter of interest, i'd like to know how many thousands you
    spend!!

Here is the link (on kdenlive) that I was look for previous, and could not find. It goes to the kdenlive forum, where many of the users have posted links to the videos that they created with kdenlive:
