I agree with #7. Now that my son has one, he has to use a Windows system tor run it.

At least recently I have started using Netbeans for PHP development and I have to say it works pretty good. So my "want" for Visual Studio is dropping, in part because VS doesn't support PHP very well at this point (without a for-pay plugin).

    1. ACT! CRM
    2. Filemaker Pro
    3. Pretty much any & all games.

Would really like the first two to be on Linux/OpenSUSE so I could try to get our workstations moved over from Windows 8.1.

    1 - CorelDRAW X3 (or/and higher)
    2 - CorelDRAW
    3 - CorelDRAW

After 7 years from my last vote, it still says the same.
The most wanted app for me is CorelDraw. Since there is no FULLY capable replacement for it.
    - Solid import/export, supporting multiple formats, but very important are .PDF, .AI,
    - Spot color support
    - Pantone color support
    - good printing options (CorelDraw really shines on setting up printing details like image/page size, repetition of images (numbers of pages printed on a page, numbers of each version, ....)
    - solid PDF/X3 export (for professional printing shops / customer Data)
    - Multi-Page documents, etc.
    - a solid Data / Feature Tree (Graphics Structure Tree, with grouping, hiding, locking, etc.)
    - ...and so on.
Beside many others I tried InkScape and XaraLX. And I have Inkscape installed on my machine.
But I need a professional vectorgraphic application with above mentioned features and more, which none of the available Linux Graphics Programms is able to provide.
And neither Xara nor Corel are providing a Linux version of their program.

Wow, I didn't realize CorelDRAW is still alive. I thought it died years ago but I guess it's good to hear it's still super useful for some people.

    1. notepad++ (notepadqq is a pretty terrible copycat)
    2. ccleaner (useful for scrubbing files and cache to free up some space)
    3. some graphical form of antivirus/firewall management.

For firewall GUI management there is YaST.
For notepad++ replacement I like Geany:
    https://www.geany.org/
It's not as feature rich as notepad++ (especially doesn't have the same amount of plug-ins) but does cover my notepad++ use case
    Best regards,
    Greg

\o/ This post has such a long live.

I'd say that I can live with a VM to do what ever I have to do with Windows. But,

    1. Notepad++

is the one I do miss on Linux.

Although I find Kate is as good as what I wanted, but there is a plugin, named `compare`, in Notepad++ I want the most. I know I can do a compare with Kompare, but I miss the convenient of open two files in different locations in Notepad++ and Alt+D to do a line-by-line comparison and edit anywhere I want to.
