Default You what? 'locale not supported in C library'

I just noticed this cryptic message that appeared in my Gnome Terminal session:

    tony@Dimension:~> realplay

    ** (realplay.bin:4928): WARNING **: Invalid cross-device link

    (process:4946): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
    Using the fallback 'C' locale.

    (firefox:4946): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

Whatever does it mean? What should I do to recover?
They said I wasn't fit to live with a pig; my brother stood up for me and said I was.

The messages are cause by firefox. To help you, we need more info:

Which openSUSE version ? ( output of 'cat /etc/SUSE-release')
System ? (output of 'uname -a')
Gnome version ? (available in any Gnome window)
