Do I have the right repositories?

I use openSUSE 11.1 with the Gnome desktop. I think I have all the necessary repo’s for normal desktop use, but I’m not sure. Also I’m not sure about the priorities of each repo.

These are the repositories:

pjotr@linux-6yl6:~> zypper lr
# | Alias | Naam | Turned on | Refresh
--+----------------------+-----------------------+--------------+-----------
1 | Libdvdcss repository | Libdvdcss repository | No | No
2 | Packman Repository | Packman Repository | Yes | Yes
3 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-11.1-Non-Oss | Yes | Yes
4 | repo-oss | openSUSE-11.1-Oss | Yes | Yes
5 | repo-update | openSUSE-11.1-Update | Yes | Yes
pjotr@linux-6yl6:~>

The priorities are set as follows:

  • repo-update: 20
  • Packman Repository: 99
  • repo-oss: 100
  • repo-non-oss: 100

Is everything OK, or can I improve?

I have disabled the Libdvdcss repo, because I only needed it once (for installing libdvdcss). My aim is to have nothing more than the necessary repo’s for normal desktop use.

Thanks in advance, Pjotr.

Looks fine to me the only thing you may want to add is gnome Package Repositories - openSUSE but you will probably get the updates anyway

OK, thanks. And how about the priority of each individual repo? Are my priority settings allright, or can they be improved upon?

Leave them as they are. They should do perfectly for normal use.

Thanks.
