    Arrow how to use effect Desk top?

    i install openSUSE 11.1
    Kernal linux 2.6.27.7-9
    i use Gnome 2.24.1 my graphic card is nvidea gforce fx7200
    i ever use ubuntu when i right click i can choose effect from appearance preference box.
    but in openSUSE i don't know the way .
    how to run compiz effect how to update graphic card?

    Hi, to turn on compiz effects,(if they are already installed,otherwise use yast to install it) try Alt+F2,type fusion-icon and press enter. An icon will appear in the bottom bar, right click on it and choose Setting Manager, the rest should be obvious.

    You missed the part about NVidia ? That's where the problem originates. To have the desktop effects working you need 3D support, which you can only get by installing the NVidia driver. See elsewhere on the forum or the openSUSE wiki pages about this.
