Arrow The system fatally changed launchers on my desktop.

The system have add to all launchers on my desktop an expand .desktop add they don't work now.
When I try to create a new launcher, it immediately turns into .desktop file and does not work. Code itself launcher is correct. Failure occurred after I uninstalled through Yast any graphics application.
After that all launchers on my desktop changed on the extension .desktop.
Explain me please how can I fix this problem!

Please don't double post, be patient and someone will answer.

Applications on desktop no longer run - openSUSE Forums

You can try working your way through that strange it has cropped up again, haven't got a clue what is causing it(Sure this getting to a bug report, though repos used might help). But I suspect you'll find the mime types are wrong. As for fixing I don't know any more than the little I extracted in that thread.
Man first, have a try at Info, have a look at Wiki, if all that fails Scroogle!!!!!
If I've helped click on the Rep button I don't know what it does but it sounds cool.

Exclamation Re: The system fatally changed launchers on my desktop.

    Thank you for your answer!
Characteristically, in the account of another user of my system, all is in okay, and failed only in my account on my desktop. This means that I can delete the local settings gnome desktop, and set them again. But I don't know how it is better and safer to do.
I was use Slackware9, but in SUSE I have not yet good know. I would be grateful for any advice.

I will try to resolve the situation by several ways:
    1.Reinstall gnome environment
2.Temporary will use KDE or any another environment by choice.
3.May be will compile Gnome by hands, not through YaST.
If nothing helps, then I go to Slackware12.2 or Debian5

The problem is solved very simple way.

    cd ~
    rm -rf .gconf .cocal

So I dropped the configuration of the Gnome desktop environment. Enjoy!

    I don't imagine that it would be... if this happened... with the desktop Windows.......... ..... ..... (*** - - - ***)
