Default Xen virtual machine cannot connect to the Internet

I am running openSUSE 11.1 Xen 64 bit as my base system. I have installed another linux OS as a virtual machine but it cannot connect to the Internet or even ping machines on my local network. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Do you have pinging disabled anywhere? Does other type of traffic work
(TCP)? Has this ever worked? Do other similar boxes or VMs on this box
work? Can you ping from the host? Does a LAN trace show any traffic
    coming from your VM?

    Good luck.

No afaik pinging is not disabled. No ip traffic works on the virtual machine but the host is fine. I have a similar installation of opensuse 11.1 running KDE where xen works just fine. This machine is running Gnome and is a clean installation. I have installed a few different virtual machines just to make sure there was not a problem with that. I cannot see the virtual machine from my lan. Thanks for your help.

Does the host have a Xen bridge setup properly?

    Good luck.

I have been looking at the bridge and believe it is setup correctly. Basically, eth0 is attached to bridge br0. eth0 itself is not configured. There do not seem to be many other options and the host can connect to the internet so I hope that is enough. Also, I have uninstalled the firewall so that can't be the problem either.

I don't know much more about Xen. Is there a way, perhaps in the Xen VM's
configuration file on the host, to tell if it is setup to properly use the
    bridge?

    Good luck.
