Question Suse auto update, steals 1/2 of my screen for 60min

    openSuse 11.1 gnome...auto updates.
Hi, My Suse does this security auto update on a weekly basis and these updates flash up on my screen and I can't seem to get rid of them.
The update informs me that the packages are downloading etc - but this is taking up 1/2 of my screen and I can't work around them. They just keep coming up.
(I have unclicked notifying etc in the control centre updates with no effect)
Please help me reclaim my desktop, what can I do?

Turn off the updater, and perform updates manually. Gives you more control anyway.

Change desktop, thats a good idea thanks. Will leave the auto update on as I'll forget to update anything.
    Thanks again.
