    Default Open port for Transmission

    i dont know how to open port in Yast firewall for Transmission Bittorrent client. I have tried to add custom rule for all zones TCP protocol IP 0/0 (should means all) and my port number open in router, but without a sucess..

    Can somebody give me some advice? Thanks..

    Forget the custom rule -- use the Allowed Services module in Yast's firewall configurator --> Allowed Services --> Advanced: add 6881 to TCP and 4444 to UDP.

    Did not helped.. I must propably fight with documentation...

    Did you forward two ports, one UDP + one TCP, in the router to the IP of the workstation? It's not just a matter of opening one port; you need to "forward" two ports?

    And also, which version of BitTorrent software are u using?
