Default New KDE repo 42 - what is it for?

I run a nightly rsync to get the KDE repositories loaded locally and I now
see that there's a new directory at /repositories/KDE:/42, with sub dirs for
    openSUSE_11.1 etc.

What is /42 for? - apart from THE ANSWER - I'm guessing it's a STABLE
    version of 4.2

Should I be including this repository in my zypper lists?

    Alan

This has been discussed in the pre-release/beta section of the forum here When is 11.1 KDE4 Reloaded due? - openSUSE Forums

Change to the new 42 repo for it is a stable repo for KDE 4.2.

    Good Luck,

It's freeze of 4.2.2 and is connected to the following:

    Index of /repositories/KDE:/42 exists now.

    Done in Index of /repositories/KDE:/Medias/images/iso

    Please everyone do :-)...

I may be wrong but isn't it to free the Factory repo and put the 4.3 version there? To get rid of the unstable repo?

IIUC - 42 is now the frozen version of Factory so for those boxes I've got
using Factory I should swap that for 42?

    Or rather replace
    repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.1
    with
    repositories/KDE:/42/openSUSE_11.1
    ?

    Caf,
could you repost a new list of the repos for KDE4.2 please?

I am getting a little confused here, specially inlight of a recent update that loaded new amarok and caused some dependencies problem for me (digikam, gwenview). Then, I had to remove kde4-gwenview, in order to resolve it.
    Thanks!

Be advised you are using Factory repo's here and they take some managing.
    Currently I have

    Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.1

    Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Community/openSUSE_11.1_KDE4_Factory_Desktop

And some packages you had installed with the kde4 prefix may need deleting
    eg; kde4-digikam
It will show red in software management and in the versions tab, no source will be available because it's not there anymore.
Delete these and install the digikam package in the factory desktop.

I fairly sure kde4.3 development will shift here in a few weeks. So more fun.

There is the frozen repo of 4.2 referred to earlier if you don't want to move on with 4.3.*

Question Re: New KDE repo 42 - what is it for?

    Hello,

I am currently using OpenSuSE 11.1 with the default KDE 4.1.3. Now I have seen in this post, that there is a new repository for KDE 4.2.2, but this is not mentioned at en.opensuse.org/KDE4. As I would like to use the system at work, I would like to ask you, if you can recommend using this KDE 4.2.2 version instead of the default KDE 4.1.3 ?
So far I have not changed to the factory repository, because I thought the default OpenSuSE-11.1-KDE4 would perhaps be more stable. Can the new KDE4.2 repository be regarded as stable now?
And are there any instructions on how to update to KDE 4.2 using the new repositories? Unfortunately there seems to be no 1-Click-Install so far, and I have read about some conflicts when using the factory-repository.

Thank you very much for your help!
