Default Good bandwidth monitor software for gnome?

I'd really like to know a good gnome software that can keep track of total downloads/uploads on a month to month basis.

Not a gnome app but I use ktrafficanalyzer, it's similar to the windows Dumeter/netmeter program if you're familar with them. it's in the KDE Comminity repo.
