Exclamation Latest Kernel Update 8/9 April 09'

If you use Certain Packages such as Sun Virtual Box or you manually install video drivers, you will need to rebuild against the new kernel.

    I updated today to: 2.6.27.21-0.1-pae
    No issues to report either

Yes, sometimes it can create problems especially when the video driver is no more working, novice level users find it difficult to use CLI to get and install new drivers.

So far, so good: 2.6.27.21-0.1-pae i686 updated and running kde 3.5.10. Only needed to recompile kernel module for VirtualBox by running /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup from Konsole (as root).

Also updated the kernel in a virtualbox guest running 11.1 with gnome - a very smooth process.
