    Unhappy system tray in KDE4.2 not displaying icons.

    hi
    i just installed kde 4.2 using the .ymp file available on openSUSE.org . earlier i had kde3.5. The problem is that when i login with kde4.2 session i dont see any items in system tray. hence, im not able to connect to internet using kinternet. also there is nothing like kinternet/kde4 installed, instead , i see only the kde3 version. plz help me with the system tray.thnx

    Try logging in to kde3 and rename the hidden .kde4 folder to .kde4_old

    Log back in to kde4 - report back what happens.

    no, it did'nt work. instead i logged in kde4 as if i was doing it for the first time. all the changes i had made were gone.
