Thread: cannot edit icons on desktop

  1. #1

Cool cannot edit icons on desktop

    I have a strange problem: (using 11.1 kde 4.1.3, 64bit)

I cannot delete or rename any files on desktop via keyboard (F2 or DEL). If I go desktop folder with dolphin - everything is fine; if I want to do the same via right-click - works fine.

So problem is strange, maybe it is just a bug?

On the actual Desktop which isn't really a Desktop the 'icons' as you describe them, are actually plasma widgets. You need to have the unlocked the plasma desktop with right click - unlock. The you can manage the widgets.

Thanks, they were not locked though. I have unchecked "align to grin" and everything works.

Looks like a small bug, because now I have checked the box again, even "lock in place" but I still can delete or rename via keyboard.
