    Angry Dashboard

    pls. Help!!!

    How i kan restore my Dashboard after click the X Botten ?

    I klicked the "X" Botten right down on my Desktop - Dashboard. now i dont find a resolution to restore my Dasboard -pannel right back on my desktop. i think it is a java-script, but i onderstand java programming.

    Can you tell us what version of openSUSE you're using, and the desktop manager you're using (KDE, GNOME, XFCE)?

    And if you can get a screenshot that would also help.

    SuSE 11.1 - KDE 4.2.68 sv98...... latest updates

    Screen shot ? you see only a desktop without a "Dashboard" the rest is absolute normal

    I think you're right Caf4926

    Alright, so all you need to do is right click on the desktop and choose Add Panel.

    Then right click on the panel and add these widgets

    Application Launcher
    Pager
    Task Manager
    System Tray
    Device Notifier
    Digital Clock

    I think those are all the default widgets. Anyhow that will at least get you back a working panel. You can add or remove widgets from it as you see fit.

    Anybody checked his/her own desktop? Right click anywhere outside the panel, click Unlock widgets if applicable, click Add widgets, pick Folderview, click Close, and it's back. When it's showing your home folder instead of your desktop, open the widgets options, check Desktop Folder, click OK, done.

    there is NO "Dashboard" in KDE, Gnome or all of Linux as far as i know..

    Sure, e.g. Plasma has a dashboard. But that's obviously not what the original poster is talking about.
