Thread: openSuSe 11.1 desktops

    Default openSuSe 11.1 desktops

I installed openSuSe 11.1 with Gnome as the default desktop, and I would like to examine KDE.

In order to have sessions available for the two desktops, what kde packages in the Yast> Software> Software Management> module must be installed?

    Hi
You just need to change the selection from 'search' to 'pattern' then
select either KDE 3 or KDE 4 if your use to Gnome, then I suggest KDE 3
to start else dive right in for KDE 4. Then once installed, log out and
then select the session you wish to run.
