    Default powersave ?default settings

    Hi all!

I'm new in linux-world, but have already some experience...

Sys: openSUSE 11.1, Gnome, Toshiba Sat L40

I want edit powersave configurations, but cannot find them.

I would like to set default configuration to:
    - powersaving cpu-freq
    - powersaving scheme

    thanks!

I think you might need open yast - Software management and search
    'powersave'
You may find a gnome based applet there Not installed. Add it.

I don't use gnome sorry. In kde you can start it from a terminal with 'powersave'. In kde3 the power management can be started from the menu, but anyway it is and should be there in the panel by default.

    yes, that's right.

I start powersave in console and can set there anything.

but after reboot, sys loads default settings.

And now I'm searching for place, where I can edit this stuff....?

In kde4 or kde3 there is a desktop config section, look for similar in gnome and then session manager.
There should be an option to Restore Previous Session (is that already checked) if not do so.

Have you also looked in Yast>system>/etc/sysconfig Editor, then browse
to system>powermanagement>powersave, here you can adjust different stuff
    for CPUfreq etc..

    Hi,

there is no entry "powermanagement" in yast/etc/sysconfig

but i have founded /etc/pm-profiler.config and pm-profiles, where I can edit schemes.

BUT PROBLEM: in "/etc/pm-profiler.config" defined scheme doesn't load on sys-start???

    what do I wrong?
