Same here, just upgraded from previous version and it won't work anymore. Same error messages output. Buffer overflow...

    I'm stuck downgrading I guess.

after reposting this thread on the Songbird forums, i have found out that the issue is not with the build of songbird but it is a bad RPM version of the program. it just needs to be repaired on the RPM and hopefully it should work after that.

GUYS. Had MANY awful hours with installing Songbird several months before.

Now what I had was a "Media Flow Error". I contacted the developer of the package, had several email conversations with him, went into IRC of Songbird and tried to clear up the problem for everyone... What turned out is, that errors might (!) be caused by gstreamer. FIX: Make sure you have the gstreamer reps of packman installed, DOWNLOAD songbird, extract to a folder where it may rest and COMPILE it by hand. Works - and works perfectly with all updates.

Just let me know if you get any futher errors with this and Ill try to help as good as I am able to.

thank Mask, but that was not the issue at hand. that is the solution for Songbird not playing media. the problem is Songbird not opening due to a buffer overload issue.

The problem is from the packman rpm... i downloaded the .tar from songbird website and it works ok...

See...Great to see you solved it - issues are most of the time solved by compiling the original source by hand.
