Thumbs down PIDGIN won't upgrade. Any suggestions?

As referring to the thread title, Pidgin refuses to upgrade to Version 2.5.5. I've always used webpin to install the newest version.
Even after uninstalling Pidgin 2.5.4 and installing the new one via OCI (One-Click-Install), it refuses to open my account and tells me my version would be too old (fore sure - it still shows 2.5.4).

Any suggestions? How do YOU handly your Pidgins needs?

    Hi
From which repository did you install from? Is the repository active,
if so use YaST and search on pidgin. Looks like you don't need
libpurple-lang rpm anymore and needs to be de-installed if it's present.

2.5.5 installed here from the Gnome Community repository and working
    fine.

Strange. I did remove the installation once more and intslled from the Gnome reops (again). Now as I was looking for the mentioned libpurple-lang, it wasn't there anymore.
    EVERYTHING WORKS. Thanks, man.
