Default Kontact sends a malformed .ics invitation file

When using Kontact, version 1.4, SuSE 11.1, KDE4.2, appointment invites have the correct time in the body, however the attached .ics file is malformed to one hour later than desired. This started about two weeks ago. I thought this issue would resolve with the new daylight saving time change for the USA last weekend, but to no avail.

Of note, the clock on the lower right hand corner did not flip to to the DST revision. It flipped several minutes after invoking NTP. This clock now provides the correct regional time.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Just bumped this to the top.

Again, the invite books correctly on the server site, and has the correct time in the header of the invitation. The invitation's one-click attachment is set to one hour later, which is the problem.

I'm not sure what do to make this tool work.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Update:
Experimented with gmail calendar. Kontact works as expected.

Still the tool is not interfacing with Microsoft outlook correctly. The ical.ics file is showing one hour later than the invite time. It this a flaw with Microsoft outlook?

Any help would be appreciated. I have a number of clients that use Microsoft explorer exclusively, and I'm getting flack for using an open source solution for scheduling.

Again, the problem is under Outlook, the ical.ics file shows a time that is one-hour later than is in the body of the email that is being sent to meeting attendees.

I don't pretend to know much about this problem or you server config, but if you google 'ics outlook time incorrect' or similar, there are numerous links describing the problem you have. I would post the links, but I think you would be better educated to evaluate the google results yourself. Are you spanning across different timezones?

Sorry, I don't think I can offer anything further.

You mentioned that Kontact is "working as expected" with Google calendar. That's great! but how exactly did you do it? I've been looking for a howto (KDE4.1, Kontact 1.3), but the only way seems to be using GCALdaemon, is that right??

    Thanks for the help.
