    Default Repository issue in 11.1

Hi guys I upgraded from openSuse 11.0 to .1 though with many tweaks, when I try to install any software from online repository I get a connection error as below, this is despite the fact I got a perfect Internet connection, can ping the URL and have even tried to include it in hosts file. The problem also occurs when I try adding a new repository
    --------------------------
    Download (curl) error for 'http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.1/repodata/repomd.xml':
    Error code:
Error message: couldn't connect to host
    -------------------------
There was an error in the repository initialization.
'repo-update': [|] Valid metadata not found at specified URL(s)
    History:
    - Unknown error reading from Index of /update/11.1
    - SKIP request: User-requested skipping of a file
    - Download (curl) error for 'http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.1/repodata/repomd.xml':
    Error code:
Error message: couldn't connect to host
    ----------------------------

What could be wrong here, Is my machine lackin a form of authentication, did the upgrade cause this or what?

    Cheers.

Sounds more like the mirror you're being redirected is broken.

Add one manually, you can find a list here; Mirror - openSUSE
