    Default libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 on suse 11

On Suse 11 x64, I have an application (32 bit) that fails because it can't find the following library. libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3

is this on the suse 11 distribution disks somewhere? Where do I get it.

    thanks much for any help.

Hi and Thanks for the fast reply . I had a follow up question.

    at least for 64-bit:

SLES11 (Server) does NOT have the compat-32bit package
    BUT...
SLED11 (Desktop) DOES have this package on its media.

is the compat package left off the SLES 11server media on purpose, because its not supported?

Can we install the compat package from teh SLED11 disks onto our SLES 11 server installation?

Thank you very much for additional guidance, or pointers

anyone know? if its ok to install compat packages on server, without violating support contracts potentially?

    Hi,

That's weird - according to this list:
    Novell: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 for AMD64® & Intel® EM64T®

It should contain compat-32bit 2006.1.25 (Libraries from Compatibility Versions) on the installation medium?

yup. perhaps in 11 they dropped support. Or we found a bug in the distribution disks. Is there an suse 11 x64 server bits list somewhere?

    Hi All

I also have a problem with this one. I have to install Red Hat Enterprise 5 on an HP ProLiant ML350 G6 server, but need to generate the driver disks with opensuse 11.1 first.

I'm running 11.1x32 on my desktop, but am unable to find the libraries as stated by the OP - and wiithout these libraries, can't install Red hat Enterprise 5...

    Is there any other solution?

    Regards

    Hi all

    Problem solved - with Google.

Go to http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2htm...libc6.2-2.so.3 then you go down that page and select the correct RPM for your setup.
