I have Suse 11.1 KDE 4.2.1 release 108 & i’ve noticed that the Numlock doesn’t start up with KDE. That’s the way I’ve had it since I started with Suse, starting with this update it doesn’t.
A check of Configure Desktop in this release under keyboard & i find that the box to check turn on Numlock at startup is missing.
I’ve even tried etc/sysconfig still no numlock I have to press it manually to turn it on.
Is there a way to have the numlock turn on at startup?
I solved it myself by just restarting after I did the sysconfig.
It went like this
1.I did the sysconfig edit in Yast
2. restarted, then restarted a 2nd time
Odd I’ll admit but that’s how I solved it. I’ll say this much this is likely a case of YMMV, if you have a similar problem.
