I hate to wine about wine but..

I keep seeming to have trouble with wine, and can’t get it to work correctly. I have old installed programs still showing up in my applications menu under wine too. But I get this error with sound I think.

Also it will not let me install the SteamInstall.msi from http://http://store.steampowered.com/
I am sure you all probably covered this before, and I am sorry if you have I just got tired of searching the forms.

It may help you installing.

If you install with in a console do you get errors **wine msiexec /i SteamInstall.msi
Also have a read here linuX-gamers.net - Howtos - Steam, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike 1.6 and Source with Wine
And winetricks won’t make a difference stem should install with wine
