Open a terminal window and issue: whereis kwickdisc to know where it is, after that you can launch it from terminal using the result.

i do not think that is gonna work for kwickdisc...i say that because
i just downed the .tgz and read the README...which gives instructions
to "make install" without going to root...so, it is gonna be
installed in the user's home directory...SOMEwhere.

i GUESS in a folder named either kwickdisc or .kwickdisc but i'm not
going to compile and install it just to find out...for all i know it
is just a social engineering project to get me to install a trojan ;-(

hello "nnjond" that software is from 1999!!
are you SURE you wanna use it?

what is it that it offers that you do not already have in a default
install of whatever version of openSUSE you have installed?

NOTE: to all new Linux users, this is a widely held but incorrect
notion: All Linux software is hard to install and requires the user
to COMPILE and MAKE and INSTALL from an old-fashioned command line..

nnjond, *IF* you are using a modern version of openSUSE you can find
most anything you really need via YaST, and once installed it will
    show up in your menu--automatic!!

lots of other ways are also available...i'd suggest you begin here:

    have fun!

I often find "lost" software simply by opening the kickoff menu and typing the name of the app in the search box.
