KDE 4.2 update: problems

I just updated to KDE 4.2 in Factory, on a 11.1 system, and I have found the following problems (in decreasing order of annoyance):

  • audio cds are not recognized when inserted.

Wasn’this a bug that should have been fixed already? Kscd can play audio cds, but vlc cannot. Kscd’s interface in KDE4 is an utter monstruosity, adn i cannot even select tracks. I have Kscd/KDE3 installed, but cannot launch it from KDE 4.2

  • Konqueror cannot load sysinfo:/, I get a blank page. I suspect this is related to the audio cd problem

  • cannot launch programs from dolphin, when dolphin is launched with root privileges (I had the same problem in kde4.1, actually)

Sorry but I never use cd’s for audio playback, too much whirring from the drive. But I never have any issue ripping the audio with k3b.

What do you mean? This seems rather odd to me.
