    Default Embedded advanced text editor is not!

    Why is the "Embedded advanced text editor" called that?

    It's not an editor as you can't actually edit anything, and I wouldn't really call that "advanced" behaviour .

    Embedded yes, but that's about as far as it gets.

    I looked under Konqueror's settings but can't seem to find out how to change the default to something useful, can anyone help there?

    This is under a fresh install of 11.1 with KDE 3.

    @growbag,

    it was in "KDE Components >> File Associations", you can change it from
    "Use setting for all groups" to "Show file in separate viewer".

    the bad news is, i think you must change it's one by one for each
    mime/type, the "All" options in my KDE 3.5.10-97.3 does not work.
