Occasional/Consistant Freeze after Login

Hi all, I’m a new openSUSE 11.1 user after trashing Ubuntu. (which i could never get to work)

So far, openSUSE has ran a lot better, and installed better than Ubuntu. I have ran into one problem that I seem to run into with many Linux distro’s. I get past the login screen, but once I get to where it loads my desktop and plays the music, it will occasionally freeze. It freezes more often than boots successfully. I have just got it to run today for the first time after installation. I am curious as to how I can go about fixing this freezing issue. Thanks!

Here are my system specs…
1gb RAM
K8-800T AMD board
128 rage pro graphics card (had an nVidia geforce 5200 fx, never could get it to work…)
80 GB IDE hdd
