Thread: Codecs

    Default Codecs

When I last ventured into Linux land, I used a nice article called something like "Hacking Suse Linx 10.2". I now find out that the author has stopped writing these and we are "on our own".

Is there some convenient place where I can find, in plain English, not Geekese, how to get video to work in OpenSuse 11.0? I tried pieceing together various threads, but now I have the same result.

    Thanks
    Alan

Have a look here Restricted Formats/11.0 - openSUSE-Community personally i replace all the openSUSE stuff with packman multimedia, just add packman's repo & replace VLC,Xine, amarok,k3b & mplayer
