Thread: New KDE release 97 & 99 is buggy

Default New KDE release 97 & 99 is buggy

I am surprised no one else has posted this.

It seams after updating to KDE release 97 and then 99 KDE has went down hill quick.

The task bar has a line through it, the Icons don't lock in place. Every time you refresh the desktop they more back over to the left

Anyone have any ideas. I don't know if this is even fixable, I may have to wait for them to update KDE. I am sick of renaming my .kde4 folder. I did that 3 times yesterday.

And even worse if you try and adjust the task bar hight you loose the desktop all together.

Oh well, at least I now know that it's not me going insane (again) .

At least I got my preferred kickoff icon back again, it had reverted to the suse green Gecko one and I couldn't figure out why.

I also have the plasmoids-not-sitting-where-I-want them problem, they won't sit on the RHS of the screen, they keep jumping to the left.

I'm sure it will be fixed soon, the updates have been twice a day in the last week!

Hmm, I logged out and back in and it is now fixed!

    Oh happy day .

Quite frankly I'm surprised that more things don't go haywire, being updated while KDE4 is running should surely create more problems .

you don't have to rename anything..
i mean, is someone holding a gun to your head and making you use KDE4?

there are plenty of stable alternatives..
