First, with 3.0.0 we had the problem with graph labelling which only happens
with the SUSE version - there is a bug report on this. Now SUSE have messed
up the update to 3.0.1.
On my 4.2 partition, after updating to 3.0.1, Open Office wouldn’t run so I
had to un-install and do a selective re-install. Yesterday OOo was updated
on my 3.5.5 partition and, surprise surprise, it now doesn’t work. So I’ll
have to go through the hassle of un-installing it again and re-installing.
I think I’d best install the version from the Open Office site.

After I’d cooled down a bit, I decided to un-install one item at a time,
then try to start OOo. The first two I tried - “OpenSUSE branding”
and “components” - didn’t help but the third - “core libraries” - allowed
OOo to start successfully. However, buggy treatment of graphs still
remains.
I must say, removing “core libraries” doesn’t strike me as the most obvious
way to get something working!
