    Default VNC Issue

    I run the VNC Server, and when i connect to it the graphical interface isn't forwarded just a grey screen with an x. What is wrong? rcxdm is started.

    There is a bug in KDE4 for VNC. Are you running KDE4?

    I beleive it's 3, how do I find out the version?

    Run this command in a console window and it will tell you in the return what is running. If you don't understand the return, post the results here:

    ps -eLf | egrep "kde3/bin/startkde|usr/bin/startkde|usr/bin/gnome-session"
    EDIT: sorry, that's an obscure way to find out. Instead, open a Konsole window, go to top menu and select Help --> about KDE. It will tell you the version number.

    What is it? and what version of openSUSE did you install?
