    Default problem burning iso

    hi all,

i have re-download suse 11.1 becuase i checked the disc i had and it said that the check sum did not match in the suse media checker, so i re-downloaded it and check the iso once downloaded and it said it was fine. Know i come to burn it and re-check the dvd and it says again the check sum did not match, so it looks like any you download its failing.

    its getting on my nerves.

any help will be great , because i would like a iso which is fine on both via checking the iso and the dvd after burning.

    thanks

There are a lot of threads about burning media. Basically check the ISO
of the download before burning, have your CD/DVD burning software verify
the written data, and burn as slowly as possible. If you have problems
using the media then also do a media check on the system where you are
using it before installing to verify that system can read what is
    written properly.

    Good luck.

Maybe I was unclear.... when you boot using the CD/DVD and you get to
the first menu typically there is an option to check the media from the
media itself. That's what I was referring to..... not booting a system
with no OS and magically checking the media.... that's just craziness
(which explains and justifies your suspicions quite well).

    Good luck.
