Default Help with Grub and Login Screen "Themes"

I want to turn off/create my own boot splash screen is there a way for me to do this in openSuse? I also want to know if there is a way to get other loggin screens to work with openSuse. When ever i try to change the login screen it tells me:

Command '/usr/bin/kcmshell4 kdm --lang en_US' not found

it then just keep the default openSuse 11.1 screen. I am using KDE 4 that comes with openSuse.

Bootsplash info is here... Also try google for answers too.

There's a few links on that page as well for reference.

As for the login screen, no clue I use Gnome.
