Thread: Why does Yast close automatically?

Default Why does Yast close automatically?

Hi, I just upgraded from openSUSE 11.0 to 11.1.

There is a minor issue that is puzzling me:
After installing packages with Yast2, the program would always ask me whether I want to install additional ones, but it doesn't do that anymore now. Can I change this?

    Thanks in advance,

It's not an issue. It's a new feature. Some don't like it - some do.

I'm not sure there is. I have not looked into it.

there appears to be no way to customize or save settings for Yast from
    within Yast

Hi. I too hate this new feature. You can vote for the bug on bugzilla, I did. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=421660

I was wondering the same thing, now I know. I open YaST and start the software install from there so I can start again without doing the whole logging in again.

It's annoying when 1st setting up, but later for a quick install, it could be handy.
That's my 2 cents, but as always I could be wrong.
