Thread: debugging okular

    Default debugging okular

I have a severe bug in okular that is locking up my computer. I would like a version of okular with debug info compiled to figure out exactly what the problem is.

I see no debug or source packages available for okular on openSUSE-11.1-Source or the KDE Build Service repositories.

Checking out okular from the anonymous KDE svn server does not yield something buildable on its own. There are no Makefiles or other obvious ways to compile.

Is there a way I can get a debug version of okular without building all of KDE?

There is no console output at the time okular chokes. The system just stops responding completely.

With the KDE development packages, you can install a small subset of the KDE source code for okular.

I'm not familiar with cmake, so I'm still working on the debug part.
