On one of my systems I have noticed that over time, at least after a couple of days of being on, fail2ban will die (I have also noticed that boot.clock dies sometimes as well). I looked in /var/log/messages but I didn’t see any clues there. it would be nice to know why these services are failing and maybe even find a way to fix it.
