I have problems using TrueCrypt, too.
I can mount TrueCrypt FAT files.
But, I can't mount a TrueCrypt NTFS file.

    Solutions from cocolocko helped me.
I upgrated NTFS-3G to the newest stable version 1.5130 and TrueCrypt now works fine with NTFS disk!

This seems to be an extremely interesting topic right here.
Now before I crash my system I want to know from you guys: Does the latest version of TrueCrypt work with OpenSuse 11.1 and KDE 4.1.3?

    Thank you for clarifying.

I've just opened a bug about this on openSUSE. It's the bug #475862.

Red face Re: Truecrypt 6.1a on openSUSE 11.1

    @ TheMask:

for me it is only working to read from the NTFS TrueCrypt-Archive in OpenSUSE 11.1 64bit with KDE 4.1.3 & 4.2
    Writing is not possible!

    Err.. NOT GOOD.
I've installed it - and I see the same consequences.

Thumbs up Re: Truecrypt 6.1a on openSUSE 11.1

    Hi,
I had the same problem with openSuSE 11.1 and TrueCrypt 6.1a, but upgrading to the newer ntfs-3g package solved it for me. Thanks for the hint!

    ciao, Sren

Question Re: Truecrypt 6.1a on openSUSE 11.1

    @ soeren_nb & TheMask:

what kind of OS you use? 32- or 64Bit?
    Your TrueCrypt container is NTFS?
Wich version has the NTFS-3G version?
And is writing in the Container Possible?

    Greetings

Well, the discussion here seemed to indicate that it was not so much installation of the new ntfs-3g package but rather the fact that this (new installation) was incomplete I decided to forego installation of the new package entirely and just settle for deinstallation of the old one. And - it works!
I'm now left with a r/o ntfs module (so, as I surmise, are all others) which allows mount by TrueCrypt.

I'll settle for that right now and hopefully somewhen soon an ntfs-3g package will arrive that works with TrueCrypt.
