    Default K3b & virtualbox

I'm running virtualbox and when I try to burn a CD in k3b it says the
device is locked by the vm. (Host is Linux, guest OS in vb is XP).

How can I set it to let K3b control the burner? I need read access in
the vm, but do my writing in Linux. Thanks...

    Hi!
Is there any mounted CD/DVD drive in VirtualBox? Check under VBox -> Machine CD/DVD-ROM.
    Good luck.

I don't think that's doable in the current state of affairs.
It's difficult enough already to get a VM to notice a disc change.
IMHO your only chance is to manually disconnect the drive from the
VM before using it in K3B, and reconnect it afterwards.

Rats. Oh well, I guess that's the best bet. I don't have to read a CD
in XP very often, so if I turn it off and do all my reading/writing in
Linux I can always copy any files I need to move to XP w/Konqueror.

    Thanks for the reply...
